Race Guidelines & Registration

The race will start at 10:00 a.m. There will be two waves. The 50 milers will start first followed shortly thereafter by the 28 milers. You must start in the correct wave. We will separate you at the starting line this year to avoid any confusion.

ANSI/Snell approved bicycle helmets are required.

This is an open road race course with vehicle traffic. You must follow the Michigan Vehicle Code. Cycling road rules apply. You must stop at all stop signs, always yield to the right-away, do not cross the center-line of the road and ride no more than two abreast. Violators will be disqualified.

Packet Pickup & Race Day Registration 7:30-9:30 inside the lodge.

We have added junior classes to the 28 mile race. See BikeReg for all age classifications.

Entry fees:

2/01/2013 through Sunday 3/31/2013

$35.00 for individuals and $40.00 for tandems

4/01/2013 through Thursday 4/04/2013

$40.00 for individuals and $45.00 for tandems

BikeReg registration closes at 11:45 p.m. on Thursday 4/04/2013. No mail-ins.

Race day registration will be available only online through BikeReg. We'll reopen registration for two hours from 5:00 to 7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Race day entry fees are as follows:

$50.00 for individuals and $55.00 for tandems

No license required.

Adverse Weather Policy:

We reserve the right to delay or cancel the start of "The Lowell 50" in the event of inclement weather and or unsafe road conditions. The definition of inclement weather and unsafe road conditions belongs solely to the discretion of the Race Director. Sorry no refunds.
